It opens to a fingerprint in under a second, to the app from anywhere, and on its own as soon as your phone comes within range. Auto-lock arms the bolt behind you after a delay you set. As a Matter over Thread device it joins any hub in the house without a bridge, and a rechargeable pack carries it through roughly eight months between charges.
